Pre-Departure FAQs

Common queries about baggage rules, currency, and airport transits.

We recommend arriving 10 to 14 days before your official university orientation. This allows you to find permanent housing, set up bank accounts, purchase local SIM cards, and adapt to the local timezone.

Most destinations (Australia, US, Canada, UK) require you to declare if you are carrying physical currency equivalent to USD $10,000 or more. We advise carrying a maximum of USD $1,000–$2,000 in cash and loading the rest onto a multicurrency forex card.
