The Norwegian Language Reality

Most Norwegian university programs are delivered in Norwegian. For students applying to Norwegian-medium programs, B2 Norwegian is required. Students who want English-medium programs must search specifically for programs listed as English-medium on the Samordna opptak database.

Cost of Living

Norway: Norway is one of the world's most expensive countries for living costs. Monthly living costs (excluding tuition, which is zero) are approximately NOK 12,000 to NOK 18,000 (€1,100 to €1,700). Students can work up to 20 hours per week during term time to supplement living costs.

Sweden: €1,200 – €1,800 / month.
Denmark: €1,100 – €1,600 / month.
Finland: €900 – €1,400 / month.
