The Long-Stay Student Visa with the value of a residence permit (VLS-TS — Visa Long Séjour valant Titre de Séjour) is the French student visa for stays over 90 days.

For Indian, Sri Lankan, and Bangladeshi students, the VLS-TS is issued by the French Embassy in their home country through Campus France — France's official agency for international student promotion and visa processing.

Campus France Requirement

Campus France is mandatory: students in most countries (including India) must register on the Campus France platform, submit their applications and documents there, and attend a Campus France interview before the French Embassy processes their visa.

Financial Requirement: Students must demonstrate at least €615 per month in financial resources — significantly lower than most other destinations.
